Lee Taylor Photography

Remember this post about our family pictures last year? Mandi had her baby (who is beautiful, btw) and she's taking pictures again!

Love this sun photo...

This pic isn't so good with the people (the girls weren't cooperating) but the background is breathtaking.
Ahhh, sunset...
Anyway, she's doing a giveaway! You will love her. She's so laid back. It makes taking photos so easy and you get awesome pictures out of it. Click here for the entry details...

randomness and other nonsense

Gosh, I've been such a total slacker. blogging has fallen by the wayside. Here we go with the catch-up...

Brandon went out of town last week for work, which usually means I plan a whole bunch of things with the girls to keep them entertained and happy while Daddy's gone. Some things happened, some things didn't. But I took 1 or 2 pictures along the way...

This has nothing to do with anything. Laney's just a cutie.
I made these a while back and I just found the picture again. They sure were delish. Mmmm...
Okay. So Saturday morning Brandon left, and we went to Old Navy. In case you're not my facebook friend, here's what happened a couple weeks ago- I washed and dried Lexi and Laney's darks with a tube of nail polish. Awesome. So, most of their clothes were completely ruined. By some miracle, it was mostly shirts ruined and not pants, which in my opinion, shirts are much easier to replace. So, I took count of about 3 shirts apiece for the girls that I would just HAVE to replace, so to Old Navy we went.

On a complete tangent, a few days ago I was going through our storage unit and happened upon a garbage bag FULL of Lexi's old clothes from when she was 2 that I had totally forgotten about. They all fit Laney perfectly. So that was such a blessing after most of Laney's clothes were ruined. A definite answer to prayer...

After Old Navy we went to the dollar store and finally got Lex and Lane hula hoops. Lexi's been BEGGING for a hula hoop for months, but they've always been out of stock. Well, her dream finally came true. Now if only she knew how to use it...

After naps on Saturday we headed to 'Old Macdonalds' (that's what Lexi calls it) for some dinner. The girls played so well, and then I put them to bed.

Sunday was church as usual, and after dinner, I made no-bake cookies with the girls. They had a blast. Laney didn't want to take a picture, though... Pictured is one of Lexi new shirts. She's into rainbows...
Monday, we had movie night. We rented Despicable Me, a new favorite of the girls, and Lexi's friend Rylie came over and watched with us. They had a ball.
Let's see... Tuesday was a playdate, if I recall. That night we played pretty pretty princess.

Wednesday, Lexi had dance class, and our good friend Jim offered to bring us dinner that night. Since I wouldn't be home because of the dance class, I told him to just leave the dinner at our house. I'm such a gracious host. :( But really, it couldn't be changed. When we got home, not only had he given us dinner, he also bought us a new dvd/vcr player! I remember casually mentioning to him once at dinner I think that our video part of our vcr/dvd player was broken, so he decided to replace it. It was so nice of him. He also gave us some videos to watch. So, that evening we watched Hercules and the girls LOVED it.

Thursday- I don't remember. I think we were gonna try to make it to the dinosaur museum, but it just didn't happen.

Friday- Daddy got home, HALLELUJAH, and we went to a ward dance party that was FANTASTIC. Best ward activity to date. Not only did they have dessert-type things, but they had pretzels, goldfish, animal crackers, etc. Perfect for the kiddies to snack on all night. The girls loved it, and it was fun to dance the night away. I have some videos on my phone that are so cute of Laney dancing, but I haven't figured out how to upload them yet. They are worth the wait, trust me.

Anyway, that was our week last week. Pretty fun, but pretty exhausting. It's so good to have Brandon back. Things just aren't the same without him. Loved you and missed you, babe!
